Council on Education

The Council on Education shall be concerned with the development of education programs, workshops, seminars and meetings of the Association membership to enhance the effectiveness and productivity of the Association members. Particular emphasis is to be placed on the development of programs to improve management skills and techniques, provide information on current affairs and issues, stimulate the exchange of ideas among peers and provide orientation and training for hospital governing boards. Council on Finance and Strategic Information Services

The Council on Finance and Strategic Information Services provides input to the OHA Board for strategic direction and cost-effective implementation of informational services and products provided by the OHA to its members. (Staff Liaison: Rick Snyder)

Council on Policy and Legislation

The Council on Legislation shall, in accordance with the policies established by the Association, support, seek modification of, or oppose legislation and regulations developed within the governmental process. (Staff Liaison: Patti Davis)

Council on Rural Health

The Council on Rural Health provides a forum for all interested rural CEOs to address health care issues specific to rural communities across Oklahoma.  The council recommends how the Association can best support rural health care needs through the OHA’s core service areas. Council on Quality and Patient Safety

The Council on Quality and Patient Safety provides guidance to the OHA Board on policies and initiatives the OHA can supply to support the efforts of Oklahoma hospitals in ensuring care to patients that meets or exceeds current quality and patient safety standards. (Staff Liaison: Craig Jones)

Council of Chairs 

The Council of Chairs will comprise the current and all previous chairpersons of the OHA who remain employed by a current OHA member.  The Council will also serve as the Nominating Committee.  The Council will also serve as a reference group for the president and in other capacities as may be requested by the OHA Board of Trustees.

Trade Show Committee

The Trade Show Committee is responsible for planning and developing the annual trade show. This includes analyzing the effectiveness of the show each year and making changes necessary to enhance and improve it. Ad hoc committees may be appointed as necessary to provide assistance in specific areas. The membership of the committee includes hospital CEOs and vendors. (Staff Liaison: Mary Winters)
