Webinars offer a cost saving opportunity
for you to provide educational opportunities to your staff with no
travel, lodging or meal expense. Blending the convenience of
teleconferencing with the visual power and resources of the Internet
offers exciting options in your training.
E-learning is the method of choice for
many busy health care professionals.
- Webinars are like any other
telephone conference calls but include access to the presenter's visual
materials (slides, graphs, pictures) simultaneously through the
Internet.
- Webinars provide an excellent
opportunity to train staff without the cost of travel. The hospital pays
the connection fee and an unlimited number of people may attend the
training. The price is quoted "per telephone connection."
- The length of these sessions
is relatively short (one-two hours) which allows for minimal time away
from work.
To participate, you need:
- A room large enough to
accommodate all participants. The number of participants is limited only
the size of the room.
- An Internet connection in the
room with a computer and projector.
- A telephone connection in the
room with a speaker system so everyone can hear the presentation through
the speaker phone.
Connecting to the program:
After you register for the program, you
will receive access information that gives the phone number and
passwords to connect to the the audio and visual portions of the
program.
