Advocating on Your Behalf
OHA serves as an advocate for
its member hospitals, representing their concerns and interests to
elected officials on both the state and federal level. Through
OHA, Oklahoma hospitals present a united voice to lawmakers and
regulatory agencies. Each year, OHA represents members’ views to
state lawmakers on dozens of health care bills through active lobbying
at the state Capitol. OHA’s Legislative Council develops the
organization’s annual legislative agenda.
OHA’s legislative
staff works year-round to provide a powerful and effective advocacy
voice for Oklahoma hospitals. Member
communiqués include periodical legislative reports, an annual state
legislative summary, and frequent legislative action alerts. You can
