ICD-10, Meaningful Use readiness surveyed

Posted On: 05/15/2013

The American Hospital Association recently sent a survey to community hospital CEOs to learn about hospital readiness for two major transitions affecting their information systems and operations – the transition to the ICD-10 coding system for patient diagnoses and procedures, and the federal requirements on meaningful use of electronic health records. Individual data from the survey will not be released publicly, but will be shared with state hospital associations to assist in joint readiness efforts.

The survey results will help AHA and OHA understand where more implementation assistance is needed, and what advocacy steps we should be taking on ICD-10 and meaningful use. Responses to the survey are due on Friday, May 17.

Hospitals can access the survey here.

Hospitals will need a user ID and password to respond. You can either check with your CEO for the log-in information, or get in touch with [email protected] to request your hospital’s unique password. (Rick Snyder)
