Certified Application Counselor training underway

Certified Application Counselor (CAC) training for the federally-facilitated Health Insurance Marketplace is now available online to approved organizations.

Certified Application Counselors will provide many of the same functions in Marketplace enrollment as the grant-funded Navigators, including educating consumers and helping them complete an application for coverage.

If your hospital or organization has applied to become a Certified application counselor organization, but has not yet been notified by CMS of approval, you are not alone. CMS has received many applications and is in the process of reviewing them for approval.
