Comprehensive Stroke and Stroke Management DVD

On June 27, 2009, the Oklahoma Stroke Coordinator’s Consortium held its first Annual Statewide Conference called, “Stroke Management in Oklahoma: It’s About Time.” This first conference’s presentations spanned the continuum of stroke including the normal anatomy and physiology of the neurological system, moving through types of strokes and their treatments, to looking at measures by which to evaluate stroke care. The trainer for the day was Tess Carter-Willey, MSN, MS, RN, CNRN, FNP. Carter-Willey is the supervisor of the Neurovascular Center at the Sutter Neuroscience Institute in Sacramento, Ca.

All of the sessions were recorded and are available on DVD. These presentations can be used at your facility to educate staff who will be caring for stroke patients. You also can use this to create an opportunity to bring stroke team members together to discuss stroke care particular to your hospital. Specific presentations on the DVD include:
