2014 DSH audit requests sent out

Posted on: 4/19/17

Hospitals that received Oklahoma Medicaid Disproportionate Share Hospital (DSH) payments for the 2014 program year (Oct. 1, 2013 – Sep. 30, 2014) are currently under audit. Myers and Stauffer LC sent audit requests to the hospitals last week. Surveys and supporting documentation are to be sent to Myers and Stauffer by May 12, 2017.

The audit survey format for the 2014 DSH examination is the same as was used for 2013. After consulting with OHA, the Oklahoma Health Care Authority and Myers and Stauffer decided to not hold an educational program this year on the audit process and documentation requirements. Instead, a presentation file on the DSH training is available on OHA’s Medicaid page, under “Related Links”. A copy of the audit letter sent to DSH hospitals is on the same page.

OHCA lists the 2014 DSH payments by hospital.

For questions on the 2014 DSH examination, ask Myers and Stauffer using the contact information provided in their letter to hospitals.  (Rick Snyder)
