Call your legislator and ask for YES vote on cigarette tax

The cigarette tax increase of $1.50 per pack for health care goes before the Joint Committee on Appropriations and Budget this week and is expected to move from there through the House and Senate quickly. Please call and email your State Representative and State Senator today and ask them to pass the cigarette tax increase. Phone calls are preferred. This is an urgent request for phone calls to the Legislature. Please pass this request on to your employees and ask them to call from their cell phones. Now is the time to make this happen!

The message is simple: Please vote YES to increase the cigarette tax by $1.50 per pack for health care. As of now, a bill number for the cigarette tax has not been published. To quickly contact your legislators, go to Urgent Action Alert: Vote to Pass Cigarette Tax.
