HRSA to host Virtual Rural Health Symposium

The Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) Region 6 Office of Regional Operations (ORO) Dallas has extended an invitation to attend the Virtual Rural Health Symposium 2017, which will convene at 10:30 a.m. CDT, on Thursday, March 30. The purpose of the symposium is to identify current health trends, including causes of death and morbidity in rural communities. Additionally, participants will learn how to establish effective communication strategies to promote well-being in rural communities and determine community resources integral to rural health organizations’ sustainability objectives. 

The ORO –Dallas Office is sponsoring this meeting to:   
  • Describe the current health trends, and determine their contributions to health care delivery and utilization.
  • Apply primary and secondary interventions to improve the financial sustainability of rural health organizations. 
  • Discuss interventions that have been taken to address rural health challenges, and the interventions’ impact.
