White House releases FY 2018 budget request

President Trump submitted to Congress his budget request for fiscal year 2018 on Tuesday. The budget request, which is not binding, proposes steep reductions to the Medicaid program but does not propose any direct reductions to Medicare funding. American Hospital Association staff are analyzing the budget request, and AHA members have received a Special Bulletin with further details. (AHA News Now, May 23, 2017).
