Registration now available for 2018 OHA Leadership Series
Posted on: 2/21/18
Developing yourself as a leader is a key aspect of career growth. OHA is offering this series of programs targeting leaders, directors, managers or others in OHA member facilities who are interested in developing or enhancing their leadership skills. The 2018 series will offer exciting sessions, including Essence of Leadership, Developing the Fire Starter in You, Crucial Conversations, Lifecycle of a Co-Worker, Diverse Generations, a new program on Planning and Budgeting, and more. OHA is continuing our partnership with Oklahoma City Community College in providing these sessions.
Making the transition to supervisor, manager, director or leader is a significant step. Research shows that managers are the primary factor that determines an employee’s desire to work for a hospital. This underscores the importance of developing the skills and competencies that create an environment of mutual trust, respect and open communication with the people they direct.
The series offers nine modules on critical leadership skills and competencies. Sessions will be held at the OHA office in Oklahoma City. Participants will also receive complimentary registration to the 2018 OHA Annual Convention & Trade Show.
