Two Oklahoma critical access hospitals named to Top 20 CAH list

Mercy Hospital Tishomingo and Harper County Community Hospital, Buffalo, were recognized recently at NRHA’s Annual Rural Health Clinic/Critical Access Hospital Conference as being two of the 20 highest ranked critical access hospitals (CAHs) in the country, as determined by The Chartis Center for Rural Health. The determining factors for the Top 20 CAHs were based on the results of the Hospital Strength INDEX® and its eight indices of performance, including inpatient market share, outpatient market share, quality, outcomes, patient perspectives, cost, charge and financial stability. Mercy Hospital Tishomingo was recognized as a “Top 20 CAH in Best Practice in Quality” and Harper County Community Hospital was recognized as a “Top 20 CAH in Best Practice in Patient Satisfaction.”
