OHA convention general session to address disruptors of health care
Posted on: 9/19/18
“The Disruptors: How Amazon, Google and Apple Plan to Change the Face of Health Care,” will be the topic for the 9:30 a.m. general session on Thursday, Dec. 6 during the OHA Annual Convention.
Ron Galloway is a speaker, author, filmmaker, and futurist who reveals much about health care disruptions. Amazon, Google and now CVS are a few of the businesses leveraging their existing frameworks into health care as it turns to data and digital health.
Amazon will use Prime and Whole Foods to enter into the pharmacy business, and a potential partnership with Cerner will reportedly utilize Amazon’s analytics and perhaps an Amazon EHR. Google has been pushing relentlessly into health care with initiatives in health, wellness and life sciences and even has a whole division devoted to expanding the human lifespan. With the Aetna acquisition, CVS can combine a physical footprint with a payment model and pharmaceutical innovation. This session will examine the plans these three giants have for our health care delivery system.
Don’t miss this exciting look into the companies that are changing the future of our health care system. Plan now to join your colleagues at the 2018 OHA Convention & Trade Show, Dec 5-7 in Oklahoma City. Registration materials will be available soon.
