State legislators from the southwest region join OHA members and staff at Comanche County Memorial Hospital, Lawton, on Jan. 18. |
OHA members are inviting members of the 2019 Oklahoma Legislature to one of five OHA Legislative Regional Meetings to learn more about the important issues in Oklahoma health care facing lawmakers, hospitals, physicians, other providers, and most importantly, the patients we all serve. So far, excellent meetings have been held in Tulsa and Lawton.
The Northeast Region meeting that was set for Jan. 29 has been cancelled due to a joint meeting of the Oklahoma House of Representatives and State Senate Appropriations Committees scheduled for that day at the state Capitol. This is an important meeting as the joint committee will be hearing testimony about the Oklahoma Health Care Authority’s (OHCA) budget request. One of OHA’s top priority issues for this legislative session is to support the OHCA’s request to restore Medicaid provider rates.
