This program provides an overview of the current opioid crisis. Participants explore lessons learned and what steps can be taken by hospitals, physicians, and all staff to curb the current epidemic and improve outcomes for patients. The course is solution-focused and outlines current best practice, information on the PDMP, and strategies to engage and educate patients on the risks of opioids. Participants also learn of effective ways Georgia is working with hospitals and community members and leave with key takeaways to implement in their own states.
