HealthChoice updates coverage expansions for COVID-19 admissions

HealthChoice is waiving certification requirements for admissions related to COVID-19 for these levels of care: acute inpatient, long-term acute care (LTAC), acute inpatient rehabilitation, and skilled nursing facilities (SNF).  

On Nov. 25, Jason Mathews-Payne, EGID network management coordinator supervisor, told OHA: “HealthChoice will be waiving certification requirements for post-acute care for any covered services, regardless of a COVID-19 diagnosis, retroactively to Nov. 1, 2020. We are working on getting our website updated, but we did want to get this information to you.”
