Workforce
Because the health care workforce shortage is not something hospitals can solve alone, OHA has been working with a number of statewide partners since 2001 to recruit new workers into health care while retaining valuable workers and ensuring that Oklahoma’s education and training resources are adequate to meet our needs for more workers.
More than 1,000 Oklahoma hospital job openings are listed online at
www.okhospitaljobs.com, OHA’s member-exclusive hospital job posting site. Job seekers can register for free emailed job alerts for positions of interest. Hospital subscribers gain the ability to market themselves directly to qualified health care professionals.
The www.okhealthcareers.com website, maintained by the Oklahoma Health Care Workforce Center assists middle and high school students, teachers and counselors in exploring health care career options.
Oklahoma residency/fellowship lists available
OHA now has access to lists of the Graduate Medical Residencies and Fellowships in Oklahoma. These lists include programs sponsored by Oklahoma State University College of Osteopathic Medicine and the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine. Information on the lists includes medical specialty, location of the residency or fellowship, and the name of the medical director. This information can be useful as a long-term recruitment tool for new providers and as a path to develop relationships with residents. The lists are available to OHA members by contacting
