Health plan issues surveyed by AHA
Posted on: 8/16/19
Yesterday the American Hospital Association launched a survey to the field to capture data and other information on hospital and health system experience with health plan utilization management techniques and network adequacy issues. The AHA intends to use this information to support advocacy efforts to ensure appropriate oversight of health plans. Recognizing the role of states in regulating health plans, AHA will share the Oklahoma results of the survey with us at OHA, unless the hospital opts out of that sharing.
The survey is due Aug. 30. AHA is eager to get responses in as soon as possible to help with discussion with CMS and Congress. The survey is from AHA Survey Support (
[email protected]) and is addressed to the same person who receives the AHA annual survey, generally the hospital CEO or administrator.
