OHA regional meetings on Medicaid expansion begin in August - Save the date and register now

OHA, as part of the coalition to collect signatures for the initiative petition on Medicaid expansion, is hosting OHA member regional meetings in August around the state to inform (and train) our membership on the ballot initiative process. Hospital CEOs are encouraged to attend the meeting in their region, and/or send another leader as a representative. Lunch will be provided. Signature collection for SQ 802, the Medicaid expansion ballot initiative, began on July 31 and there are only 90 days to collect roughly 200,000 signatures. Everyone’s help and attention is critical to the success of this campaign.

The dates are as follows:

Oklahoma City region – 11:30 a.m., Wednesday, Aug. 14, OHA, 4000. N. Lincoln Blvd, Oklahoma City

Tulsa and Northeast regions – 11:30 a.m., Friday, Aug. 16, St. John Medical Center, Mary K. Chapman Health Plaza, 1819 E. 19th St, LaFortune Room

Northwest region – 11:30 a.m., Wednesday, Aug. 21, Share Medical Center, Alva

Southwest region – 11:30 a.m., Thursday, Aug. 29, Elkview General Hospital, Hobart

Southeast region – 11:30 a.m., Wednesday, Sept. 4, Location TBD
