AHA announces Innovation Challenge
Posted on: 2/15/19
The 2019 American Hospital Association (AHA) Innovation Challenge invites you to compete and showcase creativity in technology to address the social determinants of health and enable healthier communities.
AHA is looking for early-stage breakthrough ideas in the conception, design and development phase for addressing the social determinants of health through technology. The challenge is focused on finding new ways to address social determinants, such as food, housing, transportation and jobs, and connecting people with proper resources that meet community health needs. Ideas can range from mobile apps to artificial intelligence to data collection. The possibilities are limitless.
The Challenge is open to AHA member hospitals and health systems and their partners. The deadline for submission of proposals is May 24, 2019. Top 10 finalists will be evaluated by a panel of AHA-member judges and sponsors and the winners will be announced at the AHA Leadership Summit in San Diego, July 25-27.
Top three proposals will earn $100,000, $25,000, and $15,000 to help bring these winning concepts to life.
