Comment to protect SoonerCare for Oklahoma families

Posted on: 1/9/19

CMS has posted for public comment Oklahoma’s proposal to take away SoonerCare for persons unable to meet a monthly reporting requirement for “community engagement,” including work requirements. Comments will be accepted through Jan. 18.

The waiver application is similar to what OHCA proposed and accepted comments on in August and September. The federal application includes a phase-in process for the work and reporting requirements.

OHA supports the Oklahoma Policy Institute and Together Oklahoma in encouraging the public to comment to CMS with concerns about the proposed waiver, using https://oksays.com/, by Jan. 18.
