OHA members are inviting members of the 2019 Oklahoma Legislature to one of six OHA Legislative Regional Meetings to learn more about the important issues in Oklahoma health care facing lawmakers, hospitals, physicians, other providers, and most importantly, the patients we all serve. The first meeting kicked off last week in Tulsa and the second will be held in Lawton this Friday. Hospital leaders who attended the Tulsa regional meeting praised the format and the content of the information as well as the value of interactively participating in the meeting with their legislators. Here is what one OHA member had to say about the first Legislative Regional Meeting in Tulsa:
“The regional OHA legislative meeting in Tulsa was a wonderful forum for incoming and established Oklahoma legislators to meet with their local hospital executive leadership to discuss the current and future issues facing our communities,” said David Phillips, president/COO, St. John Broken Arrow/Owasso. “This informal and very interactive meeting was educational for both Democrat and Republican leaders. OHA staff brought information to this group that was extremely educational about the state of Oklahoma health care.”
