KEPRO updates require action from providers

Posted on: 5/24/19

KEPRO has been the Beneficiary and Family Centered Care Quality Improvement Organization for Oklahoma (BFCC-QIO) for the past five years. In this role, they offer information to providers, patients, and families regarding beneficiary complaints, discharge appeals, and Immediate Advocacy. Their number is in the Important Message from Medicare that hospitals are required to give to every Medicare patient.

As of June 8, they will still serve in this capacity, but hospitals must take two actions:
1) Update the “Important Message from Medicare” with the new number. The new number for Oklahoma is (888) 315-0636 and will be effective on June 8, 2019.
2)  After June 8, every hospital needs to update their Memorandum of Agreement and Provider Update Form and send to KEPRO. To find these forms after June 8, click here.
