Posted on: 10/25/19
The deadline is Oct. 31 for rural hospitals to apply for the HRSA Vulnerable Rural Hospital Assistance Program from the Center for Optimizing Rural Health. Rural hospitals with 49 beds or fewer, including Critical Access Hospitals, are eligible to apply. Hospitals operated by tribes and tribal organizations under the Indian Self-Determination and Education Assistance Act are also eligible.
Thirty hospitals will be selected for technical assistance in 2020, with five receiving on-site support and 25 receiving remote facilitation. Through the technical advisory center, CORH offers guidance, resources, and recommendations. The work between CORH and the hospitals is a partnership. In collaboration with the CORH team, hospitals will take an active role in identifying priorities and implementing action plans.
