Coronavirus resources and information available

Posted on: 3/6/20

While Oklahoma has not had confirmed cases of coronavirus as of this writing, OHA wants to make sure hospitals have the latest resources and guidance in preparation for a potential surge in COVID-19 cases. OHA has created a webpage to bring together a variety of resources from the CDC, Oklahoma State Department of Health, Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, American Hospital Association, and others. Check the OHA Coronavirus page for more updates as the situation develops.

Personnel in your facility should be receiving the Oklahoma State Department of Health’s Health Alert Network (OK-HAN) emails on this topic. Make certain the appropriate personnel in your facility are receiving information about OSDH conference calls. The OK-HAN is an emergency notification system maintained and operated by OSDH and is used to distribute emergent health information to health care providers and public health partners. The OK-HAN system operates as part of a nationwide network of Health Alert Networks (HANs) and follows guidelines and policies set by the CDC. For more information about the OK-HAN system, please see the OK-HAN page on the OSDH website or contact the OK-HAN Coordinator at (405) 271-4060 or [email protected].

We know that Oklahoma hospitals are leaders in disaster preparedness and are well prepared for this emergency. OHA will pass on useful resources as they are received.
