Qualivis emergency staffing update

Posted on: 4/17/20

Natalie Plumer, Qualivis director of client services, has offered this update to Oklahoma hospitals on staffing demands due to COVID-19:

“We would like to take a moment to share information Qualivis has gathered from across Oklahoma and the nation regarding contingent staffing demands due to COVID-19. Overall, the greatest nurse staffing demand has been for ICU RNs and the greatest allied health staffing demand has been for respiratory therapists. We have also seen increased demand for advanced practitioners, who are being heavily utilized in mobile testing sites, ED triage and inpatient rounding.

Please know that Qualivis continues to be able to fill your contingent staffing orders, both for standard travel assignments, as well as rapid response contracts. If you have historically relied on the Qualivis program for travel nurses and allied health professionals, they are also able to provide advanced practitioners and physicians of all specialties. We appreciate you forwarding this to whomever is responsible for APP and physician staffing, so that they may also benefit from the Qualivis program.

You can see a PDF that covers the recent demand spike for respiratory therapists. The chart shows that no respiratory therapists have been placed in Oklahoma during the last three months, while respiratory therapy has been one of the top requested specialties during the COVID-19 pandemic in other areas. Qualivis is ready to assist Oklahoma facilities with these searches.”
