Oklahoma update and CDC guidance on coronavirus

The Oklahoma State Department of Health held a press conference on Wednesday to provide an update on the coronavirus. Two people in Oklahoma have been tested and health officials are awaiting the results of the tests.

Commissioner of Health Gary Cox stated, “We don’t want Oklahomans to be fearful, but we are taking it seriously in public health.”

The risk factor for Oklahomans, he said, remains low. State health officials have issued several advisories statewide to health providers.
