OHA is partnering with MyHealth Access Network to assist hospitals in responding to the COVID-19 crisis. Through a time-limited opportunity, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Oklahoma has provided a grant to fund your organization’s access to MyHealth Access Network through Sept. 1, 2020, to ensure your providers have all of the information they need and to position your hospital for success in the new reality of COVID-19 and Medicaid expansion.

MyHealth is Oklahoma’s statewide Health Information Exchange platform and connects more than 80% of all health system activity in Oklahoma, aggregating more than 85,000 clinical encounters per day into a single common record for each patient. Membership in MyHealth gives frontline providers real-time access to this complete record on each patient, which is especially critical at this time of COVID-19.

MyHealth offers timely access to COVID-19 test results from more than 30 different labs around Oklahoma as much as 72 hours before the Oklahoma State Department of Health has them. MyHealth also provides the complete medical record for each patient including diagnoses, hospital admissions & discharges, outpatient care events, other lab results and vital signs, immunizations, dictations, etc. MyHealth also provides a COVID-19 monitoring dashboard that is tailored to your organization’s patient population.

Besides COVID-19 products, MyHealth offers ADT alerting to notify providers when their patients have been admitted or discharged anywhere in a 30-state area, enabling hospitals to comply with the new federal Interoperability rules. MyHealth also provides monitoring on 30-day readmissions, social needs screenings and other tools to support your community and your organization’s transition to alternative and value-based payment models.

MyHealth is a member-run organization, and encourages all members to participate in governance to ensure that MyHealth brings the highest value to its members. Included with membership in MyHealth are access to the Provider Portal and credits that can be spent on the other products mentioned above. In addition, MyHealth has an exclusive partnership with OHA and Collective Medical Technologies to further support Oklahoma hospitals with the most innovative technologies.

MyHealth is funded through membership fees and these are established based on the size of the organization, as determined by adjusted patient days. The annual cost for hospitals ranges from the low $1,000s to $100,000s for the largest health systems. Significant discounts are provided to organizations that contribute data, and MyHealth has been successful in further reducing costs by securing state and federal contracts and awards to enable growth and expansion of the services its members need. This Blue Cross-funded opportunity is one more example of MyHealth’s commitment to reducing the financial and resource burden on Oklahoma’s health care providers. This program eliminates the cost of connecting to the HIE and provides several months of free access to your providers.
