HHS requests hospital data on COVID-19 vaccinations

On Tuesday, the Department of Health and Human Services updated its guidance to hospitals on the reporting of COVID-19-related data. Specifically, HHS requests that hospitals report data on COVID-19 vaccine administration to health care personnel and patients once per week. The new data fields will be available in the HHS TeleTracking system and the associated data upload template. The Oklahoma State Department of Health (OSDH) sent hospitals an update on Tuesday outlining specifics for Oklahoma hospitals.

If your hospital reports the HHS data via EMResource, the OSDH is working with Juvare (the EMResource developers) to add the new optional fields and provide an update as soon as possible. If you submit directly to TeleTracking, a new data upload template has been issued that aligns with the new reporting requirements.
