Posted on: 5/28/21

Eligible Oklahomans may apply for Medicaid under the new expansion beginning June 1, with coverage beginning July 1. On June 30, 2020, Oklahoma voters approved SQ 802, Medicaid expansion. Medicaid expansion is now part of the Oklahoma Constitution and, when fully implemented, will offer health care to around 200,000 Oklahomans aged 19-64 who make less than $17,000 a year as an individual or a family of three making less than $29,000 a year, for example. The income level cannot exceed 133% of the federal poverty level.

OHA will be passing on resources soon from the Oklahoma Health Care Authority to assist you with enrollment in your communities. These resources are still under development. Information and enrollment instructions can be found here

The OHA website has access to the recent hospital training session on SoonerCare notification of date of service (NODOS). This and other resources are available here.
