Reading: “Hayaku: Health Reform Means Hospitals Must Act Fast”

In this week’s Hospitals & Health Networks, David Ollier Weber says that with the enactment last March of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA), U.S. hospital executives would be wise to add “hayaku” to their organizational vocabulary. Within only a couple of months – beginning Jan. 1, 2011 – quality measurements will go into effect that will drastically affect every U.S. hospital’s revenues in 2012 and thereafter. Read the full article.
