SQ 788, medical marijuana, is law

Posted on: 6/27/18

SQ 788 was enacted June 26 by a vote of 57 percent for the initiative. OHA, along with a coalition of health care and business organizations, opposed the question. Next steps could include Gov. Fallin calling a special session of the Legislature (number three) to address the implementation of the measure. The Oklahoma State Department of Health is responsible for licensing and regulation responsibilities. The State Board of Health will consider emergency rules at the July 10 meeting.
