HHS COVID-19 data submission guidance updated

In July, HHS requested that all hospitals submit COVID-19 data to HHS on a daily basis in one of two ways: (1) report data directly into the HHS TeleTracking Portal, or (2) report the required data to your state (in Oklahoma, the Oklahoma State Department of Health collects data in EMResource and then submits the data to HHS on behalf of hospitals). HHS is now aware that some hospitals may not be able to report data each day, especially on weekends, due to staff or system updates. As a result, HHS recently updated reporting guidance to offer a way for those hospitals using the TeleTracking reporting option to submit data from previous days, including weekends.  

Hospitals wanting to report data from prior days to TeleTracking should contact the TeleTracking Help Desk at (877) 570-6903 before submitting data from prior days. Hospitals choosing to report data from prior days will either utilize a template provided by HHS to upload the data in a .csv format or manually enter the data.
