New chart clarifies executive orders related to pandemic

After receiving inquiries from hospitals about the language that is still legal binding in executive orders from Gov. Stitt, the OHA staff has developed a new chart. On page 1, the chart lists in the first column the most recent executive order as of publication. The second column on page 1 contains the Catastrophic Health Powers Act authority that was given to the governor by the Legislature and expired on May 31. The third column on page 1 contains the issues that are in a grey area of legal authority and OHA is working to obtain answers on these for members. Page 2 of the chart contains only information from the most recent executive order. OHA will continue to update the chart as more information is available. View the chart here.  (Sandra Harrison)
