House approves interim studies

On July 23, Speaker Charles McCall published the list of approved House interim studies. The studies that have been approved cover health care topics ranging from pharmacy benefit management to rural ambulance services. The list below is not meant to be comprehensive, but merely highlights some studies that may be of interest to you. Please note that as of this writing none of these studies have been scheduled for a hearing, and may never be, but they have been approved. 

IS 21-002 (McEntire) Study effect SB 821 would have on Pharmacy Benefit Management.

IS 21-006 (Grego) Rural ambulance service on county lines.

IS 21-021 (West, Josh) Behavioral health workforce solutions with a focus on rural Oklahoma. 

IS 21-057 (Caldwell, Chad) Exploring the benefits of direct primary care. 

IS 21-059 (Martinez) A study on the rising costs of prescription drugs. 

IS 21-060 (Martinez) Looking at the oversight of facilities and process in which seniors are assessed for level of care. 

IS 21-064 (West, Kevin) Oklahoma State Health Department interim study.

IS 21-065 (Hasenbeck) Compare and contrast managed care with the current Medicaid system.

IS 21-082 (Osburn) Consolidation of state health care agencies. 

IS 21-102 (Roe) Assessing rural health care since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic. 

IS 21-136 (McEntire) Health care (OHA is waiting to hear more about the overall topic of this study. It was filed AND 
approved at the last minute).
