OHA Health Improvement Initiatives expand scope under new brand

For nearly 15 years, OHA has brought innovative health improvement initiatives to our members under the Hospitals Helping Patients Quit (HHPQ) and WorkHealthy Hospitals (WHH) brands. We are excited to announce that OHA is entering a new chapter of expanded health improvement offerings under a combined brand, “OHA Health Improvement Initiatives.” This single brand name will replace the HHPQ and WHH brands as we add a larger scope of projects to our lineup.

OHA’s health improvement initiatives have been funded by the Tobacco Settlement Endowment Trust for nearly 15 years and during that time, more than 75 hospitals adopted HHPQ or WHH.

Over the past few years, OHA has added new initiatives focused on sustainability and growth while ensuring the needs of the hospitals that we serve are met with leading edge health systems science, including preventive lung cancer screening, clinical obesity treatment, and patient food insecurity. These new initiatives are critical to improve healthcare and health outcomes in Oklahoma, but do not fit well under the HHPQ and WHH brand names. Aligning all OHA’s health improvement initiatives under a single brand speaks to the full scope of the expertise, mission, and innovative nature of the health improvement initiatives team.

OHA’s health improvement initiatives will continually strive for excellence in clinical tobacco treatment, healthcare provider wellbeing, and the evolving needs of the healthcare community in Oklahoma. If your hospital is interested in any of the projects discussed above or would like more information about OHA’s health improvement initiatives, please reach out to Eric Finley, OHA Health Improvement Initiatives manager at [email protected].
