Purcell Municipal helping kids overcome fear of hospital visits

Posted on: 8/29/25

Purcell Municipal Hospital recently hosted a Teddy Bear Clinic in their community as a fun way for children to reduce their fears about receiving medical care. Children were given the opportunity to bring their favorite stuffed animal to the hospital to experience a medical check-up in a fun environment. This gives them a sense of control and reduces their anxieties about care they have received or will receive through familiarity.

The hospital partnered with the Purcell police and fire departments, EMS and AirEvac for children to explore and experience up close. This is one of the many ways this hospital is reaching out to their community.
