Steve Hartman to headline opening keynote session for OHA Connect

Posted: 7/24/26

Steve Hartman, CBS News correspondent, will speak at the Opening Ceremonies and Keynote of OHA Connect at 8:30 a.m., Wednesday, Sept. 30. He shares moving stories about extraordinary people he meets in his weekly feature segment “On the Road” on the CBS Evening News. The segment is modeled after the long-running series of the same name originally reported by America’s greatest TV storyteller, the late Charles Kuralt. Hartman’s stories are used in classrooms around the world to teach kindness and character – two traits healthcare continually displays to patients and their families every day.

Hartman recently won the Academy Award for Best Documentary Short Film at the 98th Oscars for his project, All the Empty Rooms. He has four national Emmy awards and dozens of prestigious broadcast journalism awards for his work.
