Fund established for Louisiana hospital heroes affected by Hurricane Ida

Posted on: 9/3/21

The Louisiana Hospital Association Research and Education Foundation (LHAREF), a 501(c)(3) organization, has established the Louisiana Care Fund to provide assistance to hospital employees who experienced significant property loss or personal hardship as a result of Hurricane Ida but continued to care for patients before, during, and after the storm. When our hospital family hurts, the health care community, our business partners, and the public have historically pulled together to make a difference.

Please consider making a donation online at www.LouisianaCareFund.org or by mailing a check payable to the Louisiana Care Fund, with a completed donation form to the LHA Research and Education Foundation, 9521 Brookline Avenue, Baton Rouge, LA 70809. Contributions are tax deductible, and all administrative services are being provided in kind so that 100 percent of donations will be used to assist hospital employees. Individuals who donate will receive a written or electronic acknowledgement, including information needed for tax purposes. For more information about the Louisiana Care Fund, email [email protected].
