The 20 highest-ranked critical access hospitals (CAHs) in the country, as determined by the Chartis Center for Rural Health, were recently announced by the National Rural Health Association (NRHA). Twenty best practice designations were also given to facilities that achieved success in quality: a rating of hospital performance based on the percentile rank across rural-relevant process of care measures. Mercy Hospital Healdton, Mercy Hospital Kingfisher, Mercy Hospital Logan County, Guthrie, and Mercy Hospital Tishomingo were all named as a Top 20 Best Practice in Quality recipient. Mercy Hospital Kingfisher, Mercy Hospital Logan County, and Mercy Hospital Tishomingo all received the honor for the fourth year in a row.
