OHA and AHA:  A Powerful Partnership

OHA is also a member of the American Hospital Association (AHA). The AHA provides for advocacy for all member hospitals across the country. Policy development of the AHA occurs through feedback with Regional Policy Boards (RPBs). OHA representatives attend RPB meetings three times per year. In addition, the AHA has an annual meeting in Washington, D.C., to involve members in the key discussion topics involving public policy and engaging the congressional delegation.

OHA works closely with the AHA and engages with our delegation through meetings and communications with staff in the Washington, D.C. and district offices.
